At the grid: 7 copper wires round an iron ingot (the centre), with a string or a piece of wax in the bottom middle as insulation: 2 coils.

Why it exists
Every electric machine needs a coil, and every coil needs a spider's string or a bee's wax: the industry depends on the living world.

Why it exists
The insulation is the point: no electricity without a spider's thread or a bee's wax. Hunting spiders at night or keeping a Beehive is how the farm feeds the factory.
