Fueling tower
The launch pad's umbilical tower: full dewars in, by hand or conveyor; it pours them one by one into the rocket.
In the game
How to get it
At the grid: 32 steel plates, a circuit board, 8 small pipes, 4 cogwheels and 2 copper coils. Place it within 12 m of the pad and fill it with full dewars (by hand or by conveyor).
What it is for
Refuel a rocket without dragging dewars: every half second it pours one into the nearest landed rocket; the empty ones come out on the other side.
Why it exists
A real spaceport: dewars arrive by conveyor from the gas plant, the rocket fills itself.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
How to make it
At the grid: 32 steel plates (corners), a circuit board (top middle), 8 small pipes (sides), 4 cogwheels (centre), 2 copper coils (bottom middle).
How it works
- 1 x 3 x 1 m. 9 slots for full dewars (by hand or by conveyor) and 9 for the empty ones (they leave by conveyor).
- Every 0.5 s it pours one dewar into the nearest landed rocket within 12 m on the ground and 20 m in height, with the rocket screen's rules (oxygen and one fuel). No room for the empty: it waits, at no cost.
- It pours into anyone's rocket in range.
Tips
Land back on the pad (the "Pad" checkpoint at take-off) and the tower refuels the rocket for the next flight: see Landing on the launch pad.
The launch pad's umbilical tower: full dewars of propellant go in, by hand or by conveyor, and it pours them one by one into the rocket standing within 12 m. The empty dewars come out on the other side.
