Space · How it works
Lunar creatures
The Moon's own animals: the dustback and the geode snail to raise, the pearlwing to ride, the dust maw to fear.
In the game
How to get it
Dustbacks graze the dust (breed them with lunar moss, shear them); geode snails live in craters and halls (breed them with crystal); pearlwings soar over craters (tame with star ferns); dust maws hide under the regolith.
What it is for
Dust felt for rocket tanks and docks, helium-3 fuel, quartz, maw plates for heat shields, lunar feathers and a flying mount; a grid under the pen collects what they shed.
Why it exists
The Moon is not empty: gentle creatures to farm with machines, and one to fly.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
| Creature | Where | Gives | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dustback | dust deserts and crater walls, in herds | dust felt (shears), 8 helium-3 every 6 to 9 min | breed with lunar moss |
| Geode snail | craters and underground halls | 4 quartz every 5 to 8 min | breed with crystal or quartz |
| Pearlwing | over craters and gardens | lunar feathers; a flying mount | tame with star ferns |
| Dust maw | under the dust of the deserts | maw plates and teeth | hostile |
What dustbacks and snails shed falls on the ground: a Grid under the pen picks it up, and conveyors carry it.
