The Moon
The first world after the Earth: grey dust, crater worlds, labyrinths, silver forests, the Earth huge in a black sky, 0.165 g.
In the game
How to get it
Fly a rocket to it: pick "The Moon" on the rocket screen, or a landing point on it from the map.
What it is for
Helium-3, ilmenite, meteoric iron, anorthosite, regolith and ice; lunar wood; the pearlwing, the dustback, the geode snail and the dust maw.
Why it exists
Every Moon route beats the Earth's: a base there pays, and its bird gives you the sky.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
The land
Dust deserts and dark seas, pale highlands, canyon labyrinths 14 to 32 m deep, craters of every size and crater worlds 28 to 60 km wide. On big crater floors lie inner worlds: silver forests, gardens of light, crystal groves, ice fields; underneath, vaulted halls reached by shafts.
Living there
0.165 g, no air (suit), no weather, a black starry sky; day and night as long as the Moon's. Sounds reach you muffled through the suit.
Resources
Titanium ore shallow (2 to 60 m), ilmenite, meteoric iron, anorthosite, bauxite, copper, quartz and gems, ice, helium-3, and giant lodes of each.
