Tallow
The fat of the herds: candles, and the grease of motors, generators, pumps and engines.
In the game
How to get it
Dropped by cows (1 or 2), bears (1 or 2), behemoths (2 to 4), sheep and goats (0 or 1).
What it is for
Tallow candles (four with a wick), and every machine that turns: electric motors, generators, pumps, conveyors and rocket engines.
Why it exists
Even industry runs on the farm: no herd, no grease.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
Tallow is animal fat.
How to get it
| Creature | Tallow |
|---|---|
| Cow | 1 or 2 |
| Bear | 1 or 2 |
| Behemoth | 2 to 4 |
| Sheep, goat | 0 or 1 |
What it is for
- Candles: tallow poured round a wick (any fibre): four candles, as good as wax ones (see Candles, candlesticks and chandeliers).
- Grease: the electric motor, the generator, pumps, conveyors and shafts, rocket and ship engines all take tallow.
