Bear
A strong bear of forests, taigas, snow and mountains: territorial, it rears up and charges -- tame it with honey and ride it.

How to get it
Find a bear in the northern woods or the snow; right click it with honey (a bottle or a honeycomb): 20 % a try.
What it is for
A saddled bear climbs a whole block and shrugs off blows; its meat, cooked, is the most filling food (39 points).
Why it exists
The strongest mount of the woods, for those who dare.

The bear is the king of the northern woods. Come too close and it rears up and roars.
Where and when
Forests, taigas, snowy lands and mountains, at any hour, 1 or 2 together. On snow it is a polar bear.
Behaviour
- Neutral: it leaves you alone until you hit it, then fights back.
- 150 health, 25 damage a blow (Normal).
- Territorial: within 7 m it rears up facing you and roars; within 3.2 m (or after 5 s) it charges.
- Claws, charges and bites.
- Fishes salmon and cod, hunts rabbits; a strong swimmer.

Taming, riding and breeding
- Tame: honey, 20 % a try.
- Ride: a Saddle. Walk 1.8 m/s, run 4.6, charge 6.4; steps up a whole block.
- Heal: honey, raw fish, berries or raw meat (35 health).
- Breed: two tamed bears fed raw fish.
- Lead: a Leash.
