Rocket tank
26 m³ of propellant per tank, 1 to 4 per rocket: more tanks, farther.
In the game
How to get it
At the grid: 40 aluminium sheets, 2 copper ingots (the valves), 16 padding (wool, feathers or fur) and 8 epoxy; on the Moon, 8 dust felt replace the 16 padding. Stack it on the engine.
What it is for
Holds the rocket's liquid oxygen and its fuel; one tank reaches orbit and back, three or four reach the Moon with margin.
Why it exists
Range is paid in tanks, and tanks in aluminium: the reason to master the electric furnace.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
How to make it
At the grid: 40 aluminium sheets (8 in each of the top corners and across the bottom row), 2 copper ingots (top middle), 16 padding (8 on each side), 8 epoxy (centre). Lunar variant: 8 Dust felt in place of the 16 padding.
How it works
- 6 m, 1 t empty, 26 m³ of propellant: liquid oxygen and one fuel, mixed in the right ratio. One fuel per rocket, never two.
- A dewar dropped on the rocket screen fills every tank.
- Orders of size: 1 tank = orbit and back; 2 tanks = the Moon, marginal; 3 or 4 = the Moon with margin.
Holds liquid oxygen and a fuel. Goes on the engine or on another tank (up to four).
