Rocket cockpit
The crew capsule: a commander's seat and 3 passenger seats for players or leashed animals.
In the game
How to get it
At the grid: 16 shell parts (or 8 maw plates on the Moon), a cubic metre of glass, 16 titanium sheets, 4 circuit boards, 16 aluminium sheets and 4 springs. Stack it above the tanks, under the fairing.
What it is for
Fly the rocket: the first aboard takes the commander's seat; three passengers or leashed animals ride along.
Why it exists
Someone has to fly it, and friends and animals should come too.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
How to make it
At the grid: 16 shell parts (8 in each top corner), 64 voxels of glass (the window, top middle), 16 titanium sheets (sides), 4 circuit boards (centre), 16 aluminium sheets (bottom corners), 4 springs (the hatches, bottom middle). Lunar variant: 8 Maw plates in place of the 16 shell parts.
Aboard
- Board from the rocket screen. Without a suit (or a jetpack), the button explains why you will need them; a second click boards anyway.
- Seat 1 is the commander's: the first aboard flies. Three passenger seats follow the rocket wherever it goes; a passenger takes the commander's seat when it is free. A leashed animal boards too.
- Controls: Space ignites or cuts (on the ground: take off), Shift and Ctrl the throttle, W A S D tilt, P the autopilot (on when boarding), N the destination, V the view, G the legs, F leaves the seat.
- A real cabin: leave your seat and walk on the ground, float in zero g, and in a stable orbit with the engine off go out by the hatch (40 m around, suit needed).
- You are never trapped: dying at the controls takes you out of the rocket.
