Flight plan
Choose where to land on the map, let the screen simulate the whole flight, then take friends and animals along.
In the game
How to get it
On the rocket screen, the Landing point card opens the map: click the ground, the card says the route, the distance and the propellant left. Click the plan to see the whole simulated flight. Up to 3 passengers and leashed animals board too.
What it is for
Fly to a precise spot (a mine, a base, the Moon) and know before leaving whether you will make it.
Why it exists
Tell the player, compute for him, simulate for him: the simulated flight is the flight the autopilot will fly.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
Choose a landing point
The rocket screen has three destinations: its two pad cards and Landing point. It opens the map (M) in pick mode: click the ground (or the Moon from the Earth, in the space view), read the card (route, distance, verdict) and press Land here. Your checkpoints can be chosen too.
The simulation
The screen flies the trip in advance with the same autopilot and says, in colour: "Lands on the point with 34 % propellant left · 6 min" or "Dry at 12 km on descent". Click the plan for the Flight plan card: the trajectory, altitude and propellant curves, the phases, and the difference between a full and an empty hold.
Routes
Short trips are ballistic hops (up to 70 degrees around the planet), longer ones go through orbit. The landing aims within a few metres.
Passengers
The cockpit has 4 seats: the commander and 3 passengers (players, or animals on a leash: right-click the rocket with the leash). They go where the rocket goes and get off with it.
