Monster parts

What creatures leave behind goes straight into the item that needs it: hides, padding, fibre, glowing parts, binders, hardeners, shells, glands.

In the game

How to get it

Kill creatures (or farm them): each drops what its body is made of -- common parts most of the time, rare ones 5 to 30 %.

What it is for

Epoxy (a binder and a hardener), torches and chips (glowing parts), heat shields (shell parts), engines (fire glands), rocket stages (bomb glands).

Why it exists

Monsters matter: technology needs their parts, so farming them is part of progressing.

The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).

Every creature drops what its body is made of. Recipes ask for families of parts: any member of the family fits.

And on its own: the fire gland, which lights engines.

Where they come from

Each creature's page lists its drops. A few: spiders (string, venom), slimes (gel), ghosts (ectoplasm), jellyfish (glow jelly), scorpions (stinger, venom), scarabs (chitin), salamanders and imps (fire glands), bomb toads (bomb glands).
