Sandworm
Never met by chance: give venom to a snake on sand and it swells into a sandworm that bursts out under you. Teeth and scales.

How to get it
Right-click a snake standing on sand with a vial of venom, then step back.
What it is for
Teeth and scales: shell parts for heat shields.
Why it exists
A fight you choose, for the teeth only it gives on the Earth.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
The sandworm swims through the sand and erupts beneath you.
How to meet it
It never comes on its own. Right-click a wild Snake standing on sand with a vial of venom: the snake swells and sinks into the sand, and a sandworm comes out of it. One at a time per player; none in Easy.
Behaviour
- It hunts its summoner and whoever stands on open sand within 40 m of the place it came -- never a player under a roof.
- It burrows away for good, leaving nothing, when its summoner goes more than 40 m from that place, after 45 s without being hit, or after 4 minutes.
- Under the sand it cannot be hit: strike when it bursts out, at its head or its coils.
- 150 health, 25 damage a blow (Normal).
- Burrows, then erupts under its prey, bites and whips.
- Hunts kangaroos, cactus hogs and scarabs.
- Heavy: it sinks in water and drowns after 20 s.
