The secret of the ruins
Under the centre of Pluto's ice heart, the great ruin: a stair 48 m down into a hall of sixteen pillars, and beyond it the heart chamber where the raisonite grows.
In the game
How to get it
In Pluto's orbit, choose the landing place Great ruin at your ship's navigation table: the shuttle sets down before it, at the centre of the ice heart (between its two lobes), where two pylons and a lintel stand on the ice. Take the stair down under the glacier, cross the hall, enter the chamber of glyph stone.
What it is for
Where does raisonite come from? The answer glows in that chamber.
Why it exists
Every story needs its origin.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
The oldest place of the game.
The way down
- A stair of 48 steps, 1 m down every 1.3 m, lined with ruin stone.
- The hall: 60 m square, 22 m tall, sixteen pillars banded with glowing glyphs, a glyph road across its floor.
- The heart chamber: its walls all glyph stone, a great cluster of raisonite and four crystals around it.
The story
The ancients grew raisonite here and sent it across the Solar System. The pockets in the asteroids and the shards fallen on the Earth are what is left of it.
Progress
Done the moment you step into the heart chamber.
