Technology · How it works
Electric home
Lamps, switches and radiators on your cables: light without fire and heat without smoke.
In the game
How to get it
Bring a powered cable into the house; place lamps (they light when a cable brings them power), a light switch on the line, an electric radiator for heat. The goal needs power, a lamp and its switch.
What it is for
Light every room at the click of a switch, heat a remote base in the cold, and keep monsters away with steady light.
Why it exists
Comfort is a reward: the first thing electricity changes is the home.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
Once a cable reaches the house, it changes the home.
What you need
- Light bulbs: a glass globe over copper wire, 4 at a time.
- Electric lamps: ceiling, wall, floor, desk and street lamps, each with a bulb.
- A Light switch to turn its network on and off.
- An Electric radiator for 1.5 kW of heat.
How much power
| Device | Draw |
|---|---|
| Desk lamp | 25 W |
| Wall lamp | 40 W |
| Ceiling or floor lamp | 60 W |
| Street lamp | 150 W |
| Electric radiator | 1 500 W at full |
A lamp switched off takes nothing.
The goal
Electric home is reached with power, a lamp and its switch.
