Tritonite crystal
A spiky crystal of tritonite thrown out of the ground by a Triton geyser when it erupts; it falls back around the vent.

How to get it
Stand near a geyser of Triton's polar cap (not over its mouth) and wait for the eruption: 1 to 3 crystals fly out of the mouth and fall back a few metres around it. Pick them up.
What it is for
The tritonite in it: the Neptune alloy's metal -- breathe under water, gusts, blasts.
Why it exists
Be there when it blows.

Timing
Each vent erupts every 1.5 to 3.5 minutes, its own rhythm; the nitrogen seal dives where one is about to blow.
