How to get it
Refinery, Fractions: 16 units per m³ of crude oil, in its gas holder; fill an empty gas cylinder on it (right-click) or pipe it out.
What it is for
The gas plant turns 64 units and an empty dewar into a dewar of liquid methane; the refinery turns 32 units into 2 plastic; a cylinder burns 30 s.
Why it exists
Methane is the rocket fuel you can make on Earth from oil alone, before hydrogen.

How to get it
Refinery, Fractions: 16 units per cubic metre of crude oil. When the holder is full, the surplus burns in the flare.
What it is for

- Plastic: 32 units give 2 plastic in the refinery.
- Fuel: 30 s a cylinder.
Gases never exist loose in the world: only in Gas cylinders, machine holders and Storage tanks.
