Ground station
A tracking dish, a decoder chip, plaques for longitude and latitude and a recorder: it hears your satellite.
In the game
How to get it
On the clean room console, Ground stations: pick a model, "Choose its place", then right-click flat ground far from the laboratory. Put paper in its recorder and wait for a pass.
What it is for
Read oil, ores and the weather from orbit: the plaques show where the strongest reading was, the recorder draws the passes.
Why it exists
See the world from above, and decode it yourself if you want: the decoder is an OWL-8 program.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).

- A decoder OWL-8 chip.
- Plaques showing the longitude and latitude ("12.35° E", "45.10° N") and the strength.
