Survey sensor
From a satellite it reads the ground below: oil, ores, heat, rain, sun, wind, relief or water.
In the game
How to get it
At the grid: 2 lenses over 4 titanium sheets round 2 circuit boards, 2 copper coils and a glowing dial at the bottom. Set what it reads on its sheet; mount it in a satellite.
What it is for
Prospect oil and ores from orbit, map the weather and the relief; the ground station records where the strongest reading was.
Why it exists
See what lies under the land without digging: the reward of a satellite.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
How to make it
2 lenses, 4 titanium sheets, 2 circuit boards, 2 copper coils, a glowing part.
How it works
- One quantity per sensor, set on its sheet: oil, ore (which ore, on its sheet), temperature, rain, sunlight, wind, relief, water.
- A reading from 0 to 255 once a second, strongest right under it; its footprint is at least 500 m wide and grows with altitude (5 % of it).
- 5 W.
