Wall panel
A large wall plaque that shows live values: write {1} to {4} in its text and wire signals to it.
In the game
How to get it
Make and place a large plaque (a material beside a stick at the grid gives 4), engrave a text with {1}..{4} in it, and wire signal cables and a low-power cable (1 W) to its ports.
What it is for
"Tank {1} %", "Battery {2}": read a factory at a glance; with a chip, show serial text and the history of a value.
Why it exists
A display for everyone, without opening any machine's sheet.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
How to get it
A large Engraved plaque placed on a wall: when a link reaches one of its ports it becomes a panel.
How it works
- 4 signal inputs and 1 W of power. In its text (32 characters), {1} to {4} become the live values of its ports ("-" when unpowered).
- Serial fields for chips: {1 S} shows the text a chip sends, {1 S 6} the last six values; {lon:1,2} and {lat:3,4} show a place (from an inertial unit). Three independent lines.
- Linked, a right-click on it sends a short pulse: it works as a button.
- Crouch and right-click for its sheet; a plain right-click edits the text.
