Register bank, recorder and wall panel
Memory, charts and displays: a register bank stores bytes, a signal writer charts signals on paper, a wall panel shows live values.
In the game
How to get it
Register bank: silicon cells on a circuit board in epoxy on plastic (32 to 256 bytes). Signal writer: a pen on a coil over iron sheets, a lens, a glowing dial. Wall panel: a large plaque with {1} to {4} in its text, wired to signals.
What it is for
Log a factory's data, draw a sensor's history on paper, read values on a wall without opening any sheet.
Why it exists
A factory you can read is a factory you can improve.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
| Device | Does | Power |
|---|---|---|
| Register bank | 32 to 256 bytes a chip writes and reads by address | 1 W |
| Signal writer | draws a signal (or eight) on paper sheets | 15 W |
| Wall panel | a large plaque showing up to 4 live values | 1 W |
