Valve
Opens and shuts a pipe: by hand with no power, or by a signal while powered.

How to get it
At the grid: 2 pipes of its size with a spring between them, a hide below: 1 valve. Set it in a pipe line; right-click to open or shut, or wire a signal to it.
What it is for
Stop a tank from emptying, choose which machine gets the fluid, let a chip open a line.
Why it exists
Control: the simplest automation of a fluid line.

How to make it
At the grid: 2 pipes of its size on each side of a coil spring, a hide (the seat) under the spring.
How it works
- By hand: right-click opens or shuts it, no power needed.
- Commanded: powered (20 W), it opens while its signal is on.
- On a conveyor the same idea is the Diverter.
Right-click a block to place it, facing you. Broken, it comes back whole.
