Solar matter
Glowing white-gold crystals in the Sun's crust: the solar altar is built of it, the fusion reactor burns it.
In the game
How to get it
On the Sun, dig under the black crust plates, 1.5 to 6 m deep: the veins glow in the dark. Any pickaxe mines it. Mine it BEFORE you wake the Colossus.
What it is for
Four blocks, a raisonite ingot and two gold ingots make the solar altar. A block sealed in glass with a titanium ingot is a flask of solar matter: the fusion reactor's fuel.
Why it exists
When the Colossus falls you wake up at home: the way back to the Sun is long. Bring enough for the reactor. After the end the Sun becomes a mining trip: fly back, go down, mine, and Rise to your ship from the pause menu.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
