Register bank
A memory of 32, 64, 128 or 256 bytes: write a value at an address, read it back whenever you want.
In the game
How to get it
At the grid: silicon cells (1, 2 or 3) on a circuit board, 2 signal cables on its sides, epoxy on 2 plastic: 32, 64 or 128 bytes; 3 silicon and 3 circuit boards: 256 bytes.
What it is for
Logs and tables for chips, a data logger, a satellite's readings; memory without paying for a bigger chip.
Why it exists
Chip memory is dear; a bank gives a program room for data at a quarter of the price.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
How to get it
| Size | Silicon | Circuit boards | Plus |
|---|---|---|---|
| 32 bytes | 1 | 1 | 2 signal cables, 1 epoxy, 2 plastic |
| 64 bytes | 2 | 1 | the same |
| 128 bytes | 3 | 1 | the same |
| 256 bytes | 3 | 3 | 2 signal cables, 1 epoxy (boards in place of plastic) |
How it works
Inputs Address, Value, Write (on the moment Write reaches 128, Value is written at Address); output Gives = the byte at Address. 1 W. Right-click shows its grid (decimal, hex or text) and lets you edit a byte. In a satellite, its contents travel with the pack.
