How to get it
In a row at the grid: a quarter block of saltpetre ore (or bat guano), charcoal, a quarter block of sulphur: 2 gunpowder.
What it is for
An explosive, like the bomb frog's gland: the cargo module (2), the fairing (2) and the satellite deployer (8) let go with it.
Why it exists
Rockets shed what they no longer need; gunpowder lets you build them without hunting bomb frogs.

How to get it
Three in a row at the grid: a quarter block of saltpetre ore (or bat guano), charcoal, a quarter block of sulphur: 2 gunpowder. Saltpetre is three times more common under deserts and badlands; bats leave guano in caves.
