How to get it
Beat a basalt golem on the bare ground of Venus: it always drops its heart. It shrugs off half of every blow and mends after 8 s unhurt, so keep at it.
What it is for
Fuel for the Furnace and every fire: 240 s, as long as four cubic metres of coal. One heart melts sixteen cytherite ingots on Venus.
Why it exists
A danger worth the fight: the hardest ground of the inner system pays its fuel in its own stone.

Beat a basalt golem on the bare ground of Venus (never on the floating city's decks): it always drops its heart, with its bones. One golem walks a region at a time; another comes after it falls.
