Geodes
Hollow balls of crystal 20 to 160 m underground: crystal, quartz and gem ore.
In the game
How to get it
Dig deep (20 to 160 m): a geode is a hollow lined with crystal (most of it), quartz (a fifth) and gem ore (a few percent).
What it is for
Quartz for polished quartz blocks, gem ore for diamonds, crystal for building and the Moon's snails.
Why it exists
Some of the most beautiful places of the world are hidden in the rock.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
A geode is a hollow in the rock lined with crystals.
Where
20 to 160 m underground, on the Earth and on the Moon. About four geodes in five are filled.
What lines them
| Material | Share | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Crystal | about 54 % | a glowing block to build with |
| Quartz | about 20 % | 4 cells of quartz make 64 voxels of Polished quartz |
| Gem ore | about 6 % | 16 voxels cut into a Diamond (ore) |
Crystal glows faintly: a lit geode is a landmark in the dark.
Shining crystals lining the inside of geodes, with gems and quartz.
