Furniture: every piece you can craft and place

Tables, beds, wardrobes, vases and more are sculpted pieces you craft, then place to the voxel. Each one is made in the material of its recipe.

In short

  • 13 pieces of furniture (table, chair, stool, armchair, sofa, bench, bed, shelf, bookshelf, wardrobe, nightstand, desk, grandfather clock), plus ornaments, plaques and a telescope.
  • Each piece takes the material of its cells: oak, birch or redwood planks, and for many pieces stone, metal or glass.
  • Pieces go down to the voxel, like a torch: standing, against a wall or hanging. A red preview means nothing holds it.
  • Right-click uses them: sit, lie down, open the wardrobe (36 slots), put objects on a shelf.

What can furniture be made of?

  • Woods only (oak, birch, redwood planks): armchair, sofa, bookshelf, wardrobe, nightstand, grandfather clock.
  • Woods or metals: chair, stool, desk, bed.
  • Woods, stones or metals: bench, shelf. Stones are stone, marble, granite and polished quartz.
  • Woods, stones, metals or glass: table.
  • Metals are iron (metal plate), copper, steel and aluminium blocks; gold only for goblets and vases, made from ingots. A grid in a material the piece does not take matches nothing.

How do I place furniture?

  • Pieces go exactly where you aim, to 25 cm, like a torch, held by what carries them.
  • Standing on something solid (a block, a table, a stool): most pieces. Against a wall: shelf, curtain, wall lamp. Hanging from a ceiling: chandelier, ceiling lamp.
  • Aim at a wall with a standing piece and it slides down to the floor; aim at a wall with a chandelier and it slides up under the ceiling.
  • The preview is red when nothing would hold the piece or the spot is taken. Beds keep to the 1 m grid.
  • Most pieces fill one 1 m cell. Bigger ones: sofa 2 m wide, bed 2 m long, wardrobe, clock, floor lamp, street lamp and curtain 2 m high. A piece always breaks whole. In your inventory, furniture stacks by 16.
