Methane crab
A small armoured crab of Titan's methane shores, met in swarms. Up close it sprays liquid methane that freezes what it touches.
In the game
How to get it
Lives on the pebble shores of Titan's methane seas and lakes, within 16 m of the methane, in groups of several. It hunts whoever comes near.
What it is for
Kill it for raw crab meat (cook it: food on Titan, none flown in from home) and crab shell (a shell part of heat shields). Keep it at range: within 2 to 5 m it sprays every 5 to 7 seconds.
Why it exists
A danger in numbers: it teaches you to fight a swarm before the bigger outer worlds.

Tips
Its spray is -180 °C methane: a bite of cold through any suit, and the creatures it reaches crawl, frozen, for three seconds. Do not let several crabs reach you at once.
How to farm it
Swarms come back along every methane shore: a pit at the shore's edge with a grid under it (the walkers' farm, as on the Earth) keeps a Titan base fed.
