Space · How it works
Raisonite shards of the asteroids
Many more shards for alloys: the wild asteroids hold pockets of violet raisonite under their skin.
In the game
How to get it
On a wild asteroid, dig under the regolith skin: the violet crystal lies in pockets of a few cubes. Break them with an iron pickaxe or better: 16 voxels of the ore in the crafting grid make one raisonite shard.
What it is for
Many more shards for the Raisonite alloy and the raisonite gear than the Earth's deep veins give.
Why it exists
The crystal fell from space: up there it is plentiful.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
The Earth's raisonite is a scattering of violet crystals deep in the rock. The asteroids hold far more.
Where
- Every wild asteroid (one no player sculpted) of every kind: dark, grey or metal.
- Under the skin of regolith, in pockets of one to a few cubes; dig a little, look for the violet glow.
How
- An iron pickaxe or better cuts it well; mining in a space suit, weightless: hold on with the Jetpack.
- 16 voxels of the ore in the crafting grid make one Raisonite shard.
Progress
Done when you break raisonite ore on an asteroid, in survival.
