Transistor
A signal doses the power: it lets through as much power as its signal says (a dimmer).
In the game
How to get it
At the grid: a silicon on top, a small power cable on each side of epoxy: 2 transistors. Power in, power out, and a signal on its command plug.
What it is for
Dim lamps by quarters, set an electric motor's speed, feed a machine at part power.
Why it exists
Between on and off there is "how much": the transistor gives circuits a volume knob.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
How to get it
At the grid: a silicon (top middle), 2 small power cables round epoxy: 2 transistors.
How it works
It passes signal / 255 of what its output asks: 128 gives half. Lamps behind it shine by quarters and take only that quarter; an Electric motor turns at that share of its speed. Its brass needle shows the share passed. It draws 1 W.
Right-click a block to place it, facing you. Broken, it comes back whole.
