Flax, cotton and sugar
Two fibres for fabric and the sweet reed: the farm's harvests beyond food.
In the game
How to get it
Flax grows wild in plains, cotton in savannas and deserts: break them for the fibre and its seeds, then sow fields. Sugar is a reed crushed in the grid.
What it is for
Flax becomes linen and cotton becomes cotton fabric at the loom; sugar tames and heals horses.
Why it exists
Clothes, beds, curtains and wings all start in a field.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
Three plants feed the workshop rather than the stomach.
Flax
Wild in plains, in clumps. Break it: a flax and a seed per 4 tufts. Sown on farmland, a ripe square metre gives 1 or 2 flax and 1 or 2 seeds. At the Loom, 2 flax weave a linen fabric.
Cotton
Wild in savannas and deserts. Same way: a cotton and a seed per 4 tufts; a ripe field square gives 1 to 3 cotton and 1 or 2 seeds. 2 cotton weave a cotton fabric, the cloth of wingsuits.
Sugar
A reed crushed in the grid gives a sugar. Reeds grow in swamps, mangroves and along river and lake banks. Sugar tames horses like apples do. (Three reeds in a row make Paper instead.)
