Orbit
Your rocket in a closed orbit above the air, you at the controls: the Orbit patch is sewn on your sleeve.
In the game
How to get it
Pick an orbit as the destination (Low, Medium, Geostationary, or your own altitude and inclination) and let the autopilot fly; the patch is given the first time you reach a closed orbit outside the air at the controls.
What it is for
The Orbit patch; from orbit start the space station, satellites, the Moon and walks outside the hatch.
Why it exists
The first time you see the Earth round.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).
How to get there
On the rocket screen or with N in flight, choose an orbit: Low, Medium, Geostationary (the equator at 3 500 km, the highest orbit the game keeps), or two sliders, altitude and inclination. Each card says what the trip costs and whether you can come back (green, orange, red).
The patch
The Orbit patch is given once, the first time you are at the controls of your rocket in a closed orbit above the air.
Up there
- Cut the engine: you float; go out by the hatch in a suit.
- Right-click with a Central dock: your space station.
- Release a satellite (R).
