Mist ray
A great gliding ray of Titan's thick air. It never lands: it rides the air currents and circles where the air rises, trailing mist along the wind.
In the game
How to get it
Look up on Titan: mist rays glide 12 to 30 m over the ground, a few at a time. They are harmless and flee high when struck.
What it is for
Follow one: its mist trail streams the way the wind blows, and where it circles and climbs, the air lifts. That is where wings carry you highest.
Why it exists
Titan's winds are invisible; the ray makes them readable.

Tips
The trail you see is drawn from the same wind field the ray flies on, so it never lies: a straight trail is a steady current, a curling one an eddy.
