How to get it
Find one in plains, forests or jungles by day; right click it with raw fish (salmon, cod or tropical fish): one chance in three each fish.
What it is for
A tamed cat follows you, sits on command and hunts ghosts and bats; two tamed cats fed raw fish have kittens.
Why it exists
A companion for your house -- and a guard against the creatures of the night.

The cat is a small, quick hunter of the warm lands. Wild, it stalks birds and fish; tamed, it keeps your home clear of ghosts and bats.
Where and when
Plains, forests and jungles, by day, alone. Animals like the cat come with their land: they are there the first time the land is explored, and stay there.
Behaviour
- Passive: it never attacks and runs away when hurt.
- 40 health.
- Hunts sparrows and fish (salmon, cod, tropical fish, clownfish).
- Lands on its feet: falls of up to 6 m do not hurt it.

Taming, riding and breeding
- Tame: raw salmon, cod or tropical fish -- 33 % a fish.
- Orders: empty-hand right click: sit / follow. The L whistle calls it.
- Breed: two tamed cats fed raw fish.
