At the grid: 16 voxels of glass, 4 aluminium sheets, 2 circuit boards and a glowing dial. Place it aboard and right-click to sit.

Buttons Autopilot, Destination, Manual, Fuel and Stand up (P, N, F); V shows the whole ship from outside.
Why it exists
Someone has to steer.

16 voxels of glass, 4 aluminium sheets, 2 circuit boards, a glowing part. Sit in it: its screen shows the orbit ("Earth · 412 km · 51 deg"), the delta-v with its light and the next burn. One pilot per ship.
Aboard a space ship: right-click it to sit at the controls and fly the ship.
