Space · How it works
Cross the day side
Walk a kilometre across Mercury's scorching day in its full light, and come back to the twilight or a shadow alive.
In the game
How to get it
Leave the twilight line toward the day, walk one kilometre where the Sun stands above 20 degrees, in its light, then reach the twilight band or a shadow alive. Wear the thermal suit; cytherite armour adds 40 °C a piece.
What it is for
Faster than the day: the proof that your gear and your legs beat the Sun.
Why it exists
A race against the Sun.
The same text the game shows in its progress tree and on the item's sheet (I).

How to make it
Go at dawn, when the Sun rises behind you: the hottest hours come later. Run from shadow to shadow, crater wall to scarp. The HUD shows the air and what your gear stands; under 20 degrees of Sun the walk does not count. The Hermesite alloy (run ×1.5) makes it far easier.
